Kitsault, BC (the real Eureka)

Here's a short clip of an abandoned city in Canada which a wealthy business man bought for $7,000,000 with the intent of turning it into a community strictly for artists and scientists.

This news clip is from 2012 so I'm not sure what the outcome has been but it sure is interesting.
