Match #1

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match

MNM Vs Londrik

Criss cross and Nitro loses. He gets double teamed in the face corner for a bit Double forearm gets 2 for Kendrick. More double teaming sends the champs out to the floor, and London backdrops his partner onto them. Back in, London misses a cross body and MNM take over. Nitro starts working on the leg, and they get a double team gutbuster on London, with Melina adding a headscissors on the apron. Tag to Kendrick, as he clotheslines everyone and hits Mercury with a corner splash, but falls victim to the Snapshot, which gets 2. Kendrick gets his ass kicke for a bit then they toss him and Mercury drops him on the apron, and Nitro gets 2 off that and back in the ring. Kendrick quickly fights out and cradles, but the ref is busy with Mercury on the apron. Double team legdrop from the champs and Mercury comes in with a delayed vertical suplex, and that gets 2.
Kendrick gets tossed again and gets picked on by Melina. Nitro gets 2 with an arrogant cover then a chinlock from Mercury. Kendrik fights out and tags London. Flying elbows but London runs into a boot on a corner charge. He quickly comes back with a double clothesline and rolls up Mercury for 2. Nitro gets involved and London does a superb dropkick one guy and turn it into a moonsault on the other guy on the mat spot for 2. He tries a suplex, but Nitro trips him and Mercury gets 2. London sends Nitro outside then tries a pescado, which misses. Nitro holds London for Mercury and a blind charge and a dodge from London means that the champs collide and London rolls up Mercury for the pin at 13:43. New tag champs!! Crowd loves it. Melina pulls a Sunny and Mercury and Nitro have a metrosexual brawl and Melina punts the ref in the nuts until the officials come out to seperate them and GM Long goes down in between the scuffle. This wen't absolutely nowhere important as they were back together by November. Im going 3 stars.

Match #2

Singles Match

Chris Benoit Vs Finlay

Benoit takes down Finlay and goes for the Sharpshooter quickly, but Finlay reverses to a leglock. Benoit gets a headlock out of that and won't let Finlay get leverage to escape. Finlay powers him over into a pinning combo for 2. Finlay complains to the ref about an eye poke and suckers Benoit while the ref admonishes him. Finlay takes him down and slaps him and Benoit gets pissed.
Backbreaker gets 2. Benoit attempts a crossface, and then fakes him into a rollup for 2. Benoit starts throwing chops in the corner, but Finlay takes him down with a short arm clothesline for 2. Benoit comes back with the roling germans and goes up top and misses the swandive. Finlay tries to block a charge with a boot, but Benoit legdrags him, so Finlay bails and grabs a chair. Benoit baseball slides that into him and rolls him back in for the swandive for 2.
Benoit starts chopping, but gets run into the corner, and Finlay gives him the sickle for 2. Finlay goes to work on the neck, throwing forearms and getting a butt splash for 2. Dropkick stops a Benoit comeback, and he takes Benoit into the corner. Short arm clothesline gets 2. Benoit fights him off again, reversing a slam into more rolling germans, but Finlay headbutts him to break. Benoit kicks him out of the ring, but when Finlay goes for the club, Benoit throws a german suplex on the floor and it looks sick. Back in the ring, Benoit knees him on the apron and suplexes him in, and does the three amigos. He stops to salute Eddie (I thought we were done with that crap) and Finlay knocks him outside to the railing. Back in, Finlay posts him but Benoit sucks it up and gets the crossface out of nowhere for the win at 21:10. This was good stuff. 3 1/2 stars. Very hard hitting.

Match #3

Womens Match

Melina Vs Jillian Hall

I guess two matches pulling atleast 3 stars to open the show was too much of a good thing, because here comes the crap. Hall gets a Thesz press and she throws some phantom punches. They fight onto the floor and Melina kicks Hall into the stairs, and takes over with some kicks back in the ring. Melina goes to a bodyscissors. Faceplant gets 2. Melina chokes her out and throws some kicks in the corner, but a splash hits knee. Jillian comes back with forearms and a rollup out of the corner for the pin at 4:18. Typical crappy diva match. 1/2 star.

Match #4

Cruiserweight Championship Match

Gregory Helms Vs Super Crazy

Crazy gets a quick rollup for 2 and a crucifix for 2 but Helms tosses him. Crazy skins the cat back in and gets another rollup for 2, then clotheslines Helms to the floor. The ref prevents a highspot, so Crazy jumps over him onto Helms outside. The refs NEVER bother stopping a guy from doing something unless they are deliberately setting up for a highspot. Helms with an atomic drop out of the corner and neckbreaker for 2. Modified crossface and he pounds on Crazy outside, and back in for 2. Crazy reverses to a rollup for 2, but gets kneed down. Helms comes off the middle and misses and Crazy fights back. Tilt a whirl backbreaker and a dropkick set up a moonsault for 2. Crazy goes up with a missile dropkick for 2. Moonsault misses and the shining wizard misses too, allowing Crazy to get a leg lariat for 2. Helms gets another neckbreaker, but misses a blind charge, as does Crazy, and Helms gets a rollup in the corner for 2. Helms finally wins it with a rollup at 9:55. 2 stars.

Melina acts like a twat backstage and slaps GM Teddy Long. Then she's upset because he fires her.

Match #5

Singles Match

Kurt Angle Vs Mark Henry

Henry props the announcers table prematch. Angle is mad at Henry for splashing him through numerous tables over the months. You can tell he's mad because he has "NEVER" scribbled on his mouthpiece. Angle attacks to start and they brawl outside. Angle tries a german suplex like Benoit earlier but Henry is too big for that. Back inside Henry drops Angle with a clothesline and headbutts him down. Angle has broken ribs so Henry steps on him a few times. He goes to a rear chinlock. Angle slugs away, but runs into a slam attempt, which he manages to turn into a DDT for 2. Angle pulls down the straps and you can see the tape on the ribs. Henry does too and goes for them. Henry keeps headbutting, so Angle throws a german suplex to take him down, setting up the angle slam for 2. The angle slam has become almost totally useless which is a shame I think. Henry tries another slam, but Angle reverses to the anklelock, forcing Henry to power out and send Angle to the floor. They brawl out there and Henry tries to splash him through the table, which Angle avoids. Henry squashes him agains the post intead and in a shocking result, he TAKES THE COUNTOUT WIN!!! Henry wins by countout at 9:11. Wouldn't have called that in a million years because they NEVER do that kind of finish EVER. Angle kills Henry postmatch to get his heat back and negate the win. Ill go 2 1/2 stars.

Match #6

King Of The Ring Match

Booker T w Sharmel Vs Lashley

They resurrected the crown but didn't bother bringing back the ppv. Just an excuse to give Booker something to do I guess. Lashley wins a lockup battle in the corner and hammers away with forearms then follows with a corner clothesline. Snap suplex gets 2. Clothesline gets 2. Lashley works on the arm and blocks a german suplex attempt from Booker. They brawl outside and Lashley eats the stairs and Booker waits for a countout. Back in, Booker stomps away in the corner and chokes him. Booker works on the arm with an armbar, but runs into a forearm for the double KO. Lashley comes back with forearms and an atomic drop, but Sharmell's interference allows Booker to sidekick him. Lashley blocks the Bookend, but Sharmell trips him up and Booker spinkicks him down, into the Bookend for 2. Lashley stops a blind charge and counters with a running powerslam for 2, and follows with a corner clothesline. Another one is blocked with a sidekick, however, and Booker axe kicks him for 2. Another axe kick misses and Lashley spears him to bring up the comeback, but Finlay runs in and clubs him with the sheleilah (SP?) and Booker hits one more axe kick for the crown at 9:15. Sharmell crowns Booker then Lashley spears him through the throne. 2 stars.

Match #7

Singles Match

The Undertaker Vs The Great Khali w Daivari

Khali's ppv debute. Before everyone started chanting "you can't wrestle" before he even started. Khali tosses Taker on a press slam. UT tries the ropewalk, but Khali throws him to the mat. Khali chokes him out in the corner and clotheslines him, and Taker bails. They brawl outside which Taker loses. Khali tosses him into the stairs. Back in, Khali slams him and UT does the zombie situp, but Khali gives him the big slap for a 2 count. Taker tries fighting back and even the ropewalk barely fazes Khali. They slug it out and Khali gets tied up in the ropes, but Daivari unties him and Khali boots Taker then hits the brain chop for the pin at 8:31. 1 1/2 star. Alot better than Gonzalez!

Match #8

World Championship Match

Rey Mysterio Vs John Bradshaw Layfield

JBL overpowers Rey to start and talks trash. Cole is an idiot who doesn't know the meaning of the word "ironic". Rey misses the 619, but baseball slides JBL instead and then follows with the senton off the apron. Back in the ring, Rey gets a dropkick for 2 and baseball slides him for 2. He works JBL over in the corner and baseball slides him in the nads. Rey dropkicks him out, but misses another slide and gets booted down by JBL. Back in, JBL lays in the boots and knocks him outside. JBL does the three amigos and drops Rey on the top rope, and boots Rey to the floor. JBL shows Rey's wife the bloody mask and then adds a fallaway slam on the floor, which gets 2 back in the ring. He throws some short arm clotheslines and decides to let the ref count Rey down, but he's up at 8. Another big boot gets 2. Rey fights back, but JBL puts him in the sleeper and works on the cut, but releases at two drops of the arm, opting to take a 2 count instead. They head up and Rey fights him off, coming down with a moonsault press for 2. Crossbody and low kick gets 2. Broncobuster is blocked by JBL with a boot, however, and he tries a powerbomb, but Rey reverses to the 619 and the ref goes down. JBL gets a powerbomb and another ref for 2. That ref gets whacked too and JBL goes for a chair. Rey kicks it back in his face then hits 619 followed by a weak frog splash and the pin at 15:56. Not a fantastic main event, but Rey's title reign was crap anyway. So, 2 1/2 stars. I just never could wrap my brain around Rey was a world champ. He looks weird in there with the big guys.

Overall Opinion: The first two matches were good/great, but it reverted into the standard Smackdown ppv soon enough. Still an okay show I guess.

Final Score: This show gets a 5.3 star rating out of 10.0 from me.
