possibly the most distrubing movie i have ever seen. for some reason i think accidental deaths are more disturbing then planned out murders,especially if its your brother. woody is a master like hitchcock, he didnt use any blood or gore and got the audience frightned and disturbed.

Personally I found the murder more disturbing, perhaps because Burns was so likeable.

Agreed. I didn't think he was likable as much as he was empathetic. I found the murder scene to be as disturbing as it was because it was brilliantly executed. The music really added a lot of tension, and MacGregor and Farrell's performances in those few second were awesome; their nervousness and fidgeting and looking around while short of breath. Awesome.
