Netflix version edited? (spoilers)

I read the general plot to this movie, as well as people saying things like...

"Sickest movie of all time"
"Hard to watch, had to back away from the screen in horror"
"Got sick"

So I braced myself, and pushed play on netflix. After the conclusion, I don't understand all those statements. There was barely any blood, no gore, and they didn't really show anything. It was a gruesome idea...but wasn't visually hard to watch.

Is the netflix version censored?

No I don't think it was censored. I think the way he was tortured was sick and hard to watch. I personally thought it was sick and barely hard to watch. I liked it.
