Monster Noise

Hi, I just watched this film recently and something about it is really bugging me. The noise the monster makes, is taken more or less directly from a creature out of a video game. I think it might be the Gargantua from Half-Life but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know?

i think i heard that monster noise in the video game, resident evil the directors cut(some kind of green creature in the game).

I'm pretty sure that is the same roar as the larger monsters in Duke Nukem 3d

Yeah, that roar is definately from the Overlord in Duke Nukem 3D.

Terrible movie btw :D
