Music in background

Does anyone know the name of the music that plays in the background when Akshay Kumar gives the facts about India. That intense music.

Salim-Sulaiman have given background music that is appropriate and suited to each scene. Background music can make or break a movie and here it helped improve a rather weak movie. To me the film was good in parts, slightly boring at times, but got engrossing in the 2nd half.Overall an entertainer, with porcelain pretty Katrina stealing the show inspite of poor dialogue delivery. Akshay acted well and looked handsome, though his face reveals his late thirties age. Still he was good in comic as well as emotional scenes.Even Upen Patel impressed in his comparitively brief role. But he has to work at removing his Brit accent[as does Kat].Rishi Kapoor did his usual Panju father bit, but one person who was hilarious was Kat's bumbling well-meaning mom.Watch her eating cake and making a mess, as well as some other scenes where her bits of dialogue are really funny.

A lot of the music that the artists lifted for the background score really have no relevance to the film what so ever, in fact I think that it is one of the main reasons that this film has a lot more negatives than actual positives (aside from the goof ups, I can't believe that there are so many. What irresponsibility on part of the film makers).

The song during the first scene with Akshay walking Katrina down the aisle serves a purpose but essentially makes the film look pretentious from the get go. *edit* I just found the song, it is "Eden" by Sarah Brightman.

And somebody please explain to me why on Earth they chose to have Limp Bizkit's "Take a Look Around" playing during one of the establishing shots?

There was also a piece of the score to The Last Samurai in the scene where Katrina and the Englishman are in the bedroom together, as well as a piece of the score to The Mission in the wedding scene. I wonder if they asked permission to use those tracks?

reply

It was instrumental tune of "saare jahan se acha Hindustan hamara"
