need help on movie

I'm looking for the name of a movie. I thought it was this one but it wasn't. It takes place mostly in a bar with some friends getting together. I think it started out with one of them going out to their car (a volks, I think) and shooting themself. If anyone has any ideas as to what this movie is, i would surely appreciate it.
