Does anybody know why or heard or read why for the stage musical for the title song they changed the opening lyrics. In the ABBA version of the song they sing I've been cheated by you since I don't know when , and for the musical it got changed to I was cheated by you and I think you know when.
I can only form an opinion; it was all written in Donna's diary. So she DID know when. I guess she was also a little embittered, she was basically [aside] singing TO them, she was like "oh I think you know".
Just a guess.
'Does your mother know'song was originally sung by a man to a girl. I noticed they changed it to be sung by older woman to young man because it's less pervy that way.
