... but this was one formulaic, predictable movie. There's a monster. It's really a dog. A very special dog that brings a family together. They can't keep it. Dad's the bad guy because he won't move to the country. They leave. Dog escapes from new owner. Runs for home. Dad changes his mind and goes back. The dog gets badly hurt. Will he die? No. Everybody's happy. There, I just save you an hour and half. If the dog had started talking I would have shut it down immediately. Even my 9 year old thought it was corny as heck.
