So, in comparison, this was actually fun and entertaining. I was surprised to read it was panned.

One thing i wish was revealed, however, was the origin of the demon.

Does the demon's backstory really matter? It's not like demons are real, so it would just be a bunch of made up crap.

That is completely irrelevant, from a storytelling perspective. All stories are made up, so what's your point?

I just checked, its not on Netflix instant.
