when i say kinda cool, i mean VERY COOL, i would love to play from the germans pov, try and stop the Dday landings, win the air wars. things like that. then have the alt history when you win the game. i cant wait to see letters from Iwo Jima, i saw flags of our fathers, very good movie

i think a german side of view would be great.every single WWII game is played on the allied side, german point of view would be a fresh idea. im really gettin tired of playin on the american side.

I think that Mixing it up would be a nice idea as well. but then again i dont see the Germans catching on as a team. there are alot of ignorant people such as the posters on this blog, that feel that all German people from the time of 1939-1945 were Nazis. So the idea of adding the germans is a nice one, but i dont think that changing history is the right thing for COD 3

The only way i can see this being successful is if they used rommels fight over africa before the desert rats came, otherwise the game would you be dying, or you killing jews.

Not just that theres alot of political bullsh-t swimming around in that can of worms.

ya all that pc crap would make it suck. but they would not be killing jews, i never said they should make a game where you work in a death camp, lol that would be messed up. but ya fight in africa, start the war from 1939, to the end, and be all over the place, but make it LONGER then most of the ww2 shoter games not like 10 levels or what ever it is, make it like over 300hrs or more. would be VERY COOL.

then have a alt ending to the end of the war. hitler would have been dead in a year anyway, the guy had M.S or something that messes up the body

when i first played cod 3 on xbox 360 i thought a german level was going to happen. the level in meungrie or something like that starts out w/ germans on a radio and then being sniped by americans. when that happened i thought you were going to be a german lol

true. even if it was the german resistance, some sort of double agent thing, or even a troupe that got captured in the war, defected. you can get mods for the pc version, but more often than not they suck donkey balls. i dont think there should be an alt ending, other wise it might as well be a totaly different game... i dont know, it might be the same reason they never let terrorists win in the movies. efficks and all that. who knows, call of duty 4: rise of the red flag could be in the pan already! (haha i like that title if i do say so myself!)

squishpop, we're all human here. Not every German put a gun to a Jew's head. They're all just fighting a war (some were more enthusiastic than other, however). But the games already spit in the German veterans' faces.

I know. Look, I'm half German, OK? Don't think I don't see your point of view. Just tell me this, what were the Germans fighting for? Now, what were the Allies fighting for? Everybody seems to think it was all about the Holocaust and the Jews. It wasn't. There were good and bad people on both sides, but the fact is, if you can't see the vast difference between what the two sides were fighting for, you don't deserve what those men bought for you.

It would be boring. You would either be vastly overpowering your opponents, or retreating towards surrender. Prior to the invasion of Russia, the German army was near unstoppable. After Stalingrad and the Battle of Normandy, aside from a few minor victories during Market Garden, the Germans did not win a single battle. What fun would that be for an FPS?

The only reason the Nazie forces lost at stalingrad was because they got surronded, the Russian Winter was quite Brutal, and they where ill-equiped for the weather. ohh and they did'nt have much ammo and medical supplies.

I don't really see the point of playing on the German's side when we know they lost the war. So we'd just lose anyway playing the Germans.

You don't actually have to lose the battle to lose the war. When playing COD, I don't get hyped up knowing that the allies are moving toward german surrender. As a matter of fact, I take each battle one at a time with no real thought about the final outcome. One reason is that it's just a game and the other main reason is that each battle is unique.

I've read others writing about wanting to see other nations in CoD and using that train of thought, who'd want to play Canadians at Dieppe; Poles in Warsaw or Market Garden; Americans at Pearl or Kasserine; the French at the onset of the was, or Brittish at the first Tobruk.

All of the armies had major setbacks, and I think except for the final frame of CoD 1 where the Russian mount the Reichstag, each battle depicted was just a part of the final outcome. Not all Germans during that time period were Heartless Nazi's as most movies would depict. The Wehrmacht was professional fierce fighting force, and I for one, would like to see a version with the Germans as the main characters.

A version where both sides are shown, separated by scene cuts would be a great idea.

Well.. all you have to do is go online in COD or play Battlefield 1942 or get a WW2 mod for BF2. Also, check out Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts...it's an RTS for the PC and you can play a campaign in Operation Market Garden as the Germans (Panzer Elite) Vs the American/ British.
