Like Mean Girls?
Is it just me, or is this movie a lot like Mean Girls? (Only better, coz it's not as harsh and better for little kids). The whole storyline? I actually thought it was alright, though.

shareYeah, some of it was. Except that she ended up with the best friend rather than the "it girl's" boyfriend =).
shareYes, I thought it was like Mean Girls also but more appropriate for younger kids. I also liked the fact that Barbie did not lie about her taping the "it girls". She told the popular girls that she was doing a project on the popular kids and then Barbie just got a little carried away and the project changed direction as she went along. In Mean Girls the main character was deceitful when she was getting chummy with the "it girls" and she was more mean-spirited (eg. sneakily 'helping' the Queen Bee gain [not lose] weight with the food bars). So I felt this film visited similar themes but Barbie was a better role model regarding her general attitudes.
shareYou guys must be joking. Mean Girls is obviously ten times better than this tripe. It shows more the reality of highschool, and unlike this Barbie movie the characters make mistakes and are more human. My sister almost threw up when she saw this movie on how unrealistic it is.
shareLet me give you a clue...is it possible that the characters in the movie *gasp* aren't real *gasp*? Different film for a different audience. Your sister needs understand the difference between reality and fantasy. Barbie is a fantasy!
shareYeah, that was the first impression I got out of the movie and I'm guessing so this is the natural behavior for girls trying to fit in with the popular crowd? Especially the part when all 3 got sent to the office and Barbie took the blame on herself.
shareThey tried but failed.
More like Sleep Over.
Maybe I am a gold digging ho,,,,,ok,,what else?
