Does Anyone Own the DVD?

Just wondering what it's like. Are there any sketches that are repeated?

I own the Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam DVDs and like them just fine. My only compliant is that Gilliam's disc has that same annoying "TV frame" device that it did when it first aired on PBS. As for repeated sketches, I believe the Fish-Slapping Dance appears on all six episodes. Otherwise each episode is different.

I have the entire package. However, my complaint was that most of the sketches were cut to, you know, fill in the time slot when it was on television.

So the DVDs are the same as the tv series was? OK, I'll be borrowing them individually from a library I just found them at so'll be following that. I've just checked out Eric Idle's so far. The cover says it's 55' long. So that equals the "2 episodes" that IMDb credits to him? So John Cleese's DVD is gonna be ~ 2-1/2 hours long, as IMDb has him down as "5 episodes"? Well, I'll see. And the sketch that is in Idle's DVD's special feature of "Eric Idle's Personal Second-Best" was not in the tv series itself?

I think you've misunderstood. Each DVD is about the same length: around an hour (not including the bonus features). As far as I remember, each Python appears on each DVD. Not sure why Eric is credited with only 2 eps. That may very well be an error.
