Want to see something else that Adam/Wayne Morris is in? :D

Anyone here like Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, or if you feel like you're too mature for it, want a good show to show your kids, younger siblings, nieces or nephews or baby sitting charges? (It's a show that's suitable for all ages, so I'd recommend it for adults too, I absolutely love it, as do my parents, and lots of my friends who I introduced to the show, so it's not like we've all been watching since we were little or something.) Well, CBBC is showing episodes of Maid Marian and Her Merry Men every day at 12.30 pm. :D Give it a watch if you're in the UK. Also, dvds are available.

If you don't know it, it was written by Tony Robinson and he also plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, in a rather different role than Baldrick, which is who he also plays, in Blackadder. It is a parody of the Robin Hood legends, also with a lot of political/social commentary/satire/parody. It's completely anachronistic, and very funny, but is only rated PG so it's safe for everyone to watch but still has a lot of stuff that only adults will ' get'. It also has Danny John Jules (Cat from Red Dwarf) as a rastafarian called Barrington. It's the 'true story' of the legend- that Marian was the leader of the gang, and that Robin is vain, obsessed with hair and clothes, cowardly, and gullible. Nice guy, just pretty useless. And really yuppie/metrosexual. And history forgot about Marian and her contribution, because everyone was fangirling/boying Robin. Robin is played by Adam, and he's really really good in it.

It's also a musical, and each episode has at least one song in it.

It's just a huge amount of fun to watch, because the 'bad' stuff goes straight over kids heads, but there's a lot for them to enjoy too. Many layers of comedy/satire. It's also a great thing for girls to watch- a great female main character. But the boys usually love it too. As do the adults watching.
If you like Blackadder or Red Dwarf, I'd definitely give it a go, or if you like weird versions of Robin Hood legends, or if you want to watch some good 'children's' tv, when it was actually good for all ages, not talking down to them like heaps of shows lately.
