It just doesn't seem English. The voices ever sound fake (I know they're not though) the set doesn't look English. It's just weird, for a moment I thought it was an american made show with american actors playing English people. But arghh it just annoys me so much.

I'm not surprised the set reminds you of the Two Of A Kind set since it IS the set used in Two Of A Kind. I watched all the Two Of A Kind episodes and the house in this show has all the same parts to it. The kitchen is the same, the stairs are the same and the living room is the same.

NJdreamwarrior you say its the same set as two of a kind? that show was cancelled years ago! its not that hard to build a set that looks the same as another show! its filmed in england so i know for a fact its not the same set! do you really think that they keep sets for that long? get real! they get torn down after each series ends and then they build anew one. its what they had to do with Friends every year! theres even a video on the genie in the house showing the new set but it looks like the old one. my advice is do your research before putting you neck in the line stating

They sound like that because they probably went to Sylvia Young's Theatre School or something, where they were taught proper English diction and other bollocks

Yeah the same thing really pissed me off about this show, it remonds me of sabrina the teenage witch. i think it looks like an american teen sitcom so the program could be sold to america much easily, therefore maximise profit.
it also reminds me of mike and angelo a little bit.

Actually, for what it is, I think the show is rather good. Okay, the acting is big, but it's a children's show so it's to be expected. The special effects are good, and the plots are inventive. The show is a lot better than average Nickelodeon fare. It deserves to be top rated.

The actors are not Australian. Wayne Morris is definitely British, he plays Robin Hood in one of my favourite shows ever, Maid Marian and Her Merry Men.

I was bored today and stumbled across this show.. randomly searching IMDB. So I checked out a preview for it somewhere else. and I have to say. They do not sound American at all.. and being an American I should know. They seem to have that kind of plain sounding British accent. But it's not American. Sorry to disapoint.

The original poster wasn't saying that the actors spoke in american accents, just that their english accents sound incredibly fake.. which they do. Maybe it's because it's made in an american studio with american scriptwriters whose lines don't translate into English culture.. or accents for that matter. In conclusion the show is terrible.
its run by a french company that's probably why they don't seem english. and the guy that plays Phillip is british.
