I don't get why people are surprised, there's also a show on this network about a milkshake, a meatball and fries, and I think it's doing pretty well, isn't it? What about squidbillies? It's a ridiculous concept which is why people will love it.

I just saw it tonight & it IS pretty funny.Not as funny as ATHF or Robot Chicken but not a bad show (& better than Squidbillies)..

It's a ridiculous idea but pretty good.

I'm glad a lot of people don't like Squidbillies, not a terrible show, certainly not good either, just really hard to sit there and watch, but I'd still rather watch that than most other garbage on other stations.

I love it when someone responds to another person's criticism with the witty retort, "if its's so bad, why don't YOU have your own show!". I think the original poster is merely saying that this show is completely retarded and I couldn't agree more. Will it be a hit? Hell, if Squidbillies can stay on the air, this show may be on for a ten year run.

I don't know about this...stealing a 5 years ago gag from Family Guy..a show the Griffins were watching called "Sherri and the Anus" and actually making a show from the gag concept? Hmm...we'll see how it goes, looks distatsteful for the sole purpose of being distasteful, that's really not what humor is...at least to me. Maybe it will be a hit, who knows.

When I first saw the premise for this show, I didn't have high hopes, but I held off on saying anything until I actually watched it... My expectactions weren't disappointed. There's inanity, which can be hilarious, but this is just too much, the humor of an inane character can only be stretched so far before it becomes pointless- I actually think the show would be better if the main character wasn't an ass: I'd settle for some sort of dogman or even a centaur, even.

Having worked on this project, I think I can explain it.

It started as part of an anthology show idea. Without going into too many details, the cartoons that were part of this anthology were supposed to be highly inane. Comedy Central picked up on this one idea, but didn't want the rest of the anthology.

Assy McGee is an ass not because of any South Park or Family Guy thing. He's an ass because it occurred to someone that all those cops in the movies who "play by their own rules" (Dirty Harry, etc.) behave like asses.

That's about it.

I'll take any show on Adult Swim over Saturday Night Dead and Bad Tv everytime.Neither show has been even REMOTELY funny for some time now.Robot Chicken,Boondocks,Stroker and Hoop and The Venture Brothers all laugh out loud funny.Aqua Teen Hunger Force? I didn't get it at first now I love it.I don't think ANYONE is into Squidbillies.

McBain is a parody. Assy McGee is a satire. Slight difference. McBain is a riduclous parody, something that never happens in real life, a real Arnold Schwarzennegar type. Assy McGee is closer to the actual cops in america in real life. Big *beep* who beat and abuse innocent people on a DAILY basis. Most cops aren't like this, but enough are that it is important to bring awareness, as well as satirize their actions.

When one's argument is reduced solely to name calling, it is because one has no logical points to make to support their viewpoint. Ahhh, you're a boot licker! Now it's all making more sense! Both your inability to wrap your mind around the concept of satire, and your inability to discuss a topic without making up facts you can't possibly know about the person you are talking with.

Why would I have to be brutalized to know about police malfeasance? That's like saying you have to be black to understand racism. I've been following the 20+ dickhead cop stories taht come out EVERY DAY for some 5 or 6 years now. I've seen the 100 different ways innocent action X can result in death by cop - for instance the woman at my local mall who had her lupus meds stolen, called the cops, was arrested on a warrant for somebody with the same name (but was a different race), denied her meds, and then died. Oops. Seems she ran into an assy of her own.

Or my high school friend Ravi Shankar (yes, same name as the 5th Beatle) - picked up by cops on a warrant for another ravi shankar (also not of the same race), called sand *beep* and left in jail for a weekend (lawsuit won).

Or my friend that had cops lie in court so they could forfeit his car on a made up drug sale?

Or how about my other one who was beaten by them at age 16?

Or the time i had a gun held at me for trying to ask directions?

Or that time I was a witness to security attacking a couple, and the cops assaulted me and made me leave and not give statement?

Or how about that time i was training federal law enforcement in investigative database usage, ate lunch with a couple a few times, with the one pair being quite obviously racist, and the other pair talking about how they wished this guy had made a motion to his waist so that they could have shot them?

I got plenty of experiece, bud.

but you have a tiny brain if you even think my experience is the slightest bit relevant to a valid discussion.
