is this a true story? or more like an example of what's happening in Japan?

edit: nevermind guys, just found the answer on wikipedia, and it is... watch the movie before checking the details on wiki tho, spoilers...

It doesn't have actual names involved. I don't think we can call it a true story.
However it is very realistic in its portrayal of Japanese justice system and serves as a warning sign that it could very well happen to anyone.
