Loads of questions about Camille...

I've not read the book, can someone explain to me why Camille had so many issues with food? WHy was she so thin? What was so dark about her family history that she told Franck that he would have to hug her if she told him about it? How come she stayed living on with Philibert and Franck? That's not really normal is it?
How was it possible for Franck and Camille to go from being sure that they couldn't live under the same roof together to being best friends and working together in a matter of hours?

I've got more questions, but that'll do for now. I loved this movie, but I am just confused about this stuff, probably if I read the book I'd figure it all out.

I haven´t seen the movie, but I read the book.
IF you want to read the book, stop reading my post. It would be "spoilerama" for anybody who hasn´t read the book...

Camille had a really bad childhood with her psychotic mother who tried to commit suicide on a regular basis. Her father left the family and came to visit on sundays.
He came back after some time, so that Camille wouldn´t be as hurt. Soon after that he "fell" from a building. As Camille puts it, he wasn´t looking where he was walking and literally fell off the roof.
Camille stopped speaking for some time after that and she almost stopped eating, because her mother wouldn´t leave her alone during dinner, always making cruel remarks about how Camille missed her father and was so like him and so on.
I guess you could say that Camille stops eating all but the most necessary food when she´s sad...and she´s sad a lot.
The remakr about the hug is actually Camille quoting Franck. He had told her about his equally miserable childhood and had told her before that she would want to give him a hug if he told her.. :o)
How could she go on living With Franck and Philou? How could she not?? She was lonely and she almost died living in that hole. Philou genuinely cared for her. I think that was a first in her life..and she soon realized that he was just as lonely as she was...
As for Camille and Franck, I think they were attracted to each other from the beginning, but wouldn´t let themselves act on it. Franck was jealous, because Philou had someone else to talk to now, somebody better suited for him.
And Camille only saw Franck´s rudeness and general bad attitude until she worked with him. Seeing him in "his element" made her see him differently.

I don´t think I am doing a good job answering your questions, though..sorry!

I think you did a great job! Sorry it took me so long to reply...I guessI kind of gave up on anyone replying! I'd really like to read the book someday...the movie was so nice...I loved the subtleties of the stories, the unlikely yet very beautiful relationships.
Anyway, thank you for your reply!
