A Favorite Moment in the Supermarket

As a chef and a closeted fan of Vache Qui Rit cheese, I had a great laugh at the supermarket scene where the aristocratic fellow looks around to make sure no one is watching as he puts many Vache Qui Rit into his shopping basket!!!
(I doubt that many Americans know that for most French, Vache Qui Rit is the equivalent of cheeze whiz!!!)

Ad hoc, Ad loc, Quid pro queeee,
So little time and so much to see

New here on IMDB, and I really don't know how this works. If I write a question here, do you get a notification that I have made a comment here?
Well, I'll try anyway.

I just had to ask what might be a stupid question: I understood by your comments that it fun that he eats Vache Qui Rit but doesn't want anyone to know that. Being from Sweden I don't have the background knowledge of these products and I really couldn't understand the joke. But I sort of quessed that it's a bit shameful eating Vache Qui Rit and Cheeze Whiz, or am I mistaken? Is it because they are for kids or..?

reply

yes, you have understood correctly. Vache qui Rit is a creamy spreadable processed cheese, not a true gruyere or swiss.
