We Need This Show in the US

I continuous hear of stories being scammed in the USA. I have enjoyed watching this show and have learn about so many scam out there. Unfortunatly I think this show or a version of this needs to be made for the US Market. We only have things like some of the news specials that once in a while show this kind of thing. I feel if we had a regular show like this in the US, it would inform more people about the scams going on and how to watch for the signs. Who else in the US on this board agrees with me?

I think the problem would be that the programme makers would be too scared of being sued by people who had been ripped off by other people who learned how to do it by watching the show. In the UK, a judge would laugh and throw such a lawsuit out, but in the US you might have a case. I suppose it comes down to hiring a good lawyer.

The problem with this in the US would be that a lot (not all Americans) lack the sense of humour to deal with it. I mean look at the Borat movie. In the UK the people tricked in that woulda just thort it was funny, whereas in the US people want to sue over it?

They did do a version in the USA. It was called "The Takedown". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460683/

Actually, the British show "The Real Hustle", is a knock-off of "The Takedown" from Court TV, of which Paul Wilson was involved as well. Coincidence? Nope. Not a coincidence.
