...you may be interested to know that this is a longer version of a play first broadcast on BBC Radio in 2004. This original version was a 45-minute monologue (basically, just Stan talking to the bedridden Oliver), performed by Tom Courtenay.

Jim Norton is excellent in the TV version, but I will always prefer Tom Courtenay's 'show-stopping' take on the material.
