I thought that she did a really good job in this movie as well.

I agree, I thought her acting was great in this movie.

It was marketed really poorly, as a comedy, when it's really a drama.

Lindsay did a good job, she is a talented actress at least with in a certain range.
Although, I don't doubt her ability to eventually be a great actress, she just needs to 'cut the crap' out of her life.

reply

Nah, not me I think she tended to over act, like trying to act too aggressive and like a "bad ass" but it came off uncomfortable and forced.

She can act very well -when she's sober-you mean. Just try and find her that way. This movie was done with a gun pointed at her to stay straight.

well it can't be to hard to play a character that's basicly yourself.

While I would have to go out on a limb and label myself a fan of Lohan's, I am unfortunately with Nizzemamcer. It appeared to me also that Lindsay Logan was portraying a character that was a mirror image of herself at that time. Spoiled, ungrateful, a victim of her poor choices and parental misguidance, arrogant, fast, and just all around a hot mess express... But understandably so. I also think this film was shot in the midst of Lindsay's heavy substance abuse and erratic behavior which brought about the open letter that was essentially the active force that swung closed the coffin door of Lindsay Logan's acting career and her door of unrealized opportunity.

The person I saw this in theatres with was, in fact, quite disturbed by just how much Rachel's character coincided with what we knew of Lohan via tabloids and nearly nightly stories of her outlandish behavior. To the point that it made them a little squeamish to watch the film.

However, I still think Lindsay Logan gave a solid performance considering. And I do think she is a talented actress. She just needs to find passion in her craft again.
If one should ever need reminding of how talented Lohan is, rent, purchase, or stream The Parent Trap. Lohan was as charming as they come and pulled off playing two characters like it was nothing. She carried the film, dually, and was on par with her accomplished costara in her motion picture début. But if you watch her movies in sequence as she gets older you can see her heart leave acting as she gets caught up in herself as the rest of the country, her fans, and tons of horny boys across the nation did.

I always hold out hope that Lindsay Logan will make a comeback and join the likes of Drew Barrymore and Robert Downey, Jr. Or even, dare I say, Britney Spears. But unlike the actors mentioned, Lohan has very, very few rooting for her. She was given so many chances to shape up and squandered all of them (Ask Oprah Winfrey). I fear Lindsay Logan will not be forgotten any time soon and probably won't even leave the public eye entirely, but she will be a Winona Ryder who is also a ridiculously talented actress who was never able to overcome her negative press and scandal despite their serious skill.

I guess time will tell.

That was my fav line in the movie too! I thought she did an amazing job, but then again, the role was pretty much written based on her, a young and beautiful smart girl with daddy problems that is going through some sort of rehab situation...

Yeah, she was very good in this, I thought. :)

I wholeheartedly agree. She needs to recover from all the bad things that have damaged her in the past and start to actually act. She has so much potential.

I ain't freakin', I ain't fakin this,
Shut Up and Let Me Go. HEY!

I just saw this movie and would have to agree that this was probably the greatest movie she's ever acted in.
I really loved the very last line, about how the guy intended to marry her, so cute

reply

she was smokin hot in this movie too, probably the last time time we'll ever see her in sultry, voluptuous redhead mode, after this came the bleach and the coke, now she looks like the cryptkeeper with a bad blonde wig
