Why is it called 'Geneva'?
Could someone explain to my why it is called Geneva?
There isn't much on the plot on here... why is it called Geneva?
It's an Italian city where part of the film is set.

In zona Porto Antico, vicino a via del Molo.
Però niente autografo :-). Sono praticamente certo che fosse lui, ma non volevo correre il rischio di sentirmi rispondere in genovese da uno che gli somigliava molto. :-)
e comunque potremmo incontrarlo spesso, spesso si rifugia dalla famiglia della moglie in Umbria...

You really have to wonder about some people!! GENOVA the Italian city anglicised as GENOA. I can't help presuming you are from the US whose citizens, it seems, are ignorant of most things dealing with geography, language, history and culture which are not American. How often do we see name changes of films to suit the ignorance and insulated knowledge of US movie goers!! Even the title of this film had to be changed for US consumption to A Summer in Genoa.

This is a very common yet ancient habit, established in centuries of commercial and cultural exchange between European Cities and Nations. For example, in English you have Naples for Napoli, Florence for Firenze, etc. The same thing happens when we Italians say Londra for London, Parigi for Paris, Monaco for Munich, and so on.
