I always hated ECW, and now I even hate it more. Talk about the matches. I never saw something that bad. Seriously, Tazz and King, don't even start it was *beep* Randy and Kurt. Kurt was always doing the same moves and taking 5 minutes per move. Rey Mysterio and Sabu. Wow... just wow... Mysterio was wearing tights... thats not his style. He looked like Nacho Libre. The fight was bad, at one point in the match, Rey is holding the ropes and just waiting for Sabu to climb up the turnbuckle and jump on him. The last move were Rey mysterio and sabu crushed the table, even before Sabu touche the table, the table broke, because of Rey and Sabu's weight. Rey missed his attack and a guy just comes out from no were and sais, they can't wrestle anymore. Not a doctor, while terry Funk had to go backstage, they didn't cancel the match and he came back. Now talk about the tag team match between Mick and Edge V.S Terry Funk and Dreamer. Well, it was bad. It was not good at all. They grab a chair and they just stand their waiting for the guy to whack him in the head, they scream same old *beep* to Cena. Did you see that? ECW hasn't changed. Chairs and table, barb wire and tables. Its always the same thing. Can't they think of anything new? I bet the at the end Foley had to "catch fire" but it didn't work out well i'm guessing because of ECW's low budget and bad Wrestlers. Foley fell on the barbwired table, and the guy's come with the extiguisher when hes not even on fire, hello ECW, you just ****ed up your match. Now lets get to Sandman and Eugene. I don't know how these people hate Eugene and love the Stone Cold Wannabe? Then we have the last match. Heh, from my point of you, Cena and Van Dam were the only one who "wrestled" that night. I do hate Cena like a lot of people, but hes a great wrestler, he showed great moves. He was amazing that night. And the fans booed him, they threw his sweater back, are they fkin crazy? If I was there I would of kept that freaking shirt, even if I hate John Cena, are the fans retarded?

Only GREAT thing about ECW was JBL, end of discussion.

LOL...Sandman a Stone Cold rip off? It's clear that somebody needs to watch old ECW tapes. The Sandman was doing the beer drinking way before Austin in 97. It was the WWE that stole that type of character from ECW. To say that ECW is all hardcore and barbed wire is wrong. Have you seen Malenko/Benoit doing technical wrestling. How about Rey/Pychosis having a Lucha Libre match.

Cena a good wrestler? Well, Cena hasn't been in a good match where his opponent did all the carrying. His offense looks weak, he cannot bump properly, and has other flaws in his wrestling ability. He is not the worst, but definately not great. If you want to see great wrestlers, you watch Chris Benoit match or a Bryan Danielson match.

Um... actually? Mysterio wore tights for years until WCW made him a Gangsta wannabe. Then WWE put him in those damned Homey pants. No, the tights were a nod of respect to his ECW past. Rey was old-school. He learned from last year's ONS where he stayed WWE Rey and got pissed on. Rey learned from Jericho's example. When in ECW, BE ECW.

That alone shows you don't really know what you're talking about, but calling High Quality Speaker boy the only GOOD part of the show? Go back to watching RAW & Smackdown. ECW is obviously not within your realm of comprehension.

Oh, and after that one fan hocked on the shirt 10 times? Hey, you want to keep it, you're welcome to it.

Oh and 2 last notes.

They hate Eugene because they know Nick Dinsmore is a HELL of a lot better than that. They'd love Nick Dinsmore. Eugene is just offensive.

And Sandman a Stone Cold rip-off? Uh, nice try. Sandman was doing the drowning himself in beer bit when Steve was still a Hollywood Blonde. Do a little research.

Sandman is a fag, Stone Cold got more popular then Sandman because Stone Cold is better then Sandman in any kind of way. Maybe Stone Cold took it from him, but he used it and became famous and more popular then "Sandman" which is a retarded name in my opinion. Tights are gay and don't go well on Mysterio. ECW wrestlers have the worst charisma I ever saw in years. I give ECW 1 year. After that they are finished with. And thats the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so.

Oh My God, i read a hell of a lot of messages on these boards, and i only responded to about 2 in my life, until i read what this moron joeyestcool is talking bout, the worst argument ive ever heard about ECW sucking, sandman a stonecold rip Off!! LMAO what a sooker are u kidding me, i first started watching ECW in 1995 on saterdays at 3:00 in the morning, i watched this wrestler they call Sabu,and about 5 mins into the show, i knew that this was the best wrestling show on earth, it was nothing id ever seen before, ECW was way ahead of its time. finally after waiting 5 years, i got to see ECW live in My own home state of California For Heatwave 2000 PPV, and ive attended plenty of WWF shows from house shows to Wrestlemania12, all i know is that when Austin first came to WWF as the ring master he sucked, and once he started drinking some beers, all of a sudden hes the F'n champ, austin was a great wrestler, and cena will never be a great wrestler, hes the most overrated champ of all time, and the most hated champ of all time to true wrestling fans, I Met RVD after that show along with about 10 other ecw wrestlers and that was the greatest moment for me as a wrestling fan, just hanging out backstage for about and hour and a half. i really dont know what im tring to say other than you dont know what your talking bout,

ps, XPW got there ass kicked for real by ECW outside the arena it was great!!

I don't call it wrestling. Only person on ECW who actually wrestle are Big Show and RVD. I don't call hitting someone with a chair a wrestling match. It doesn't work out well with WWE. Cena is overated and I do hate Cena, but what I am saying is that he is one of the only ones that pulled out a good WRESTLING match. Second all ECW stuntman are old, can't even pick up a guy, overwheited. Not all, but some. Who the hell hits a handicaped guy? And ECW has the worst story lines I saw in years.

what about super crazy, little guido and Tony mamaluke, what they dont wrestle, come on get real, that was one of my fav matches on sunday, thats why ecw is great, better than Eugene vs Goldust,but i do agree with you about ecw storylines they are pretty crappy, its better if they dont even have story lines the only story line should be the world title, thats all they need, and i hope that 2 cold scorpio comes back, hbt

And btw, the foul-mouthed beer-drinking SOB Stone Cold you obviously get hard for? Sorry buddy, THAT Stone Cold first appeared in ECW after Paul E gave him airtime to vent his greivances with Eric Bischoff for firing him from WCW.

Sandman is the original Stone Cold came along later and the only reason Stone Cold was more popular was because Sandman was smart and decided not to work for Vince McMahon

I don't think Stone Cold is a carbon copy of the Sandman just because he drinks beer on the show...I would drink before a match too so you don't feel all the hard hits. Joeyestcool talks about maturity and yet blatantly calls the Sandman a fag when he really is heterosexual. That's something I would expect from someone who said the only segment at ONS that was good was JBL's promo that really didn't need to be there (since he's a WWE guy who doesn't know hardcore). I used to like Bradshaw when he was in the APA, but now he's the type of guy where you would walk out of his match to go take a piss, like how I did for his WWE Championship match against wackass John Cena at Wrestlemania 21.

Whoever doesn't want to work for McMahon is stupid in my opinion, you get filthy rich by wreslting infront of millions of people. Thats cool. its not some kind of non-wrestling stunt man people hitting eachother with chairs, all I can say about the ECW wrestlers right now are that they are rusty as hell. They take their time between each chair hit and just stand their and wait for the guy to hit him with the chair. I don't like Cena. But I think hes a good wrestler. Stone Cold is better then Sandman. Super Crazy and Tajiri had a great match in my opinion and one of the best ones that night.

Yes jtwwe, you make a valid point...Sure Joeyestcool, it is stupid and dangerous to hold a chair up to your cranium just for Rob Van Dam to kick it right in your face, and to do it for a lot less money then what Vince could pay you. But I myself (and many other wrestlers I'm sure) would do that way before kissing Vince's ass for a decent salary or joining his infamous "Kiss My Ass" club. Screw that. But either way, most wrestlers are screwed (kissing Vince's ass or else, not being used properly in WCW leading to getting laid off, or having Heyman's checks bounce on you). Tough business.

First of all calling ECW wrestlers stunt men is stupid. first at king of the ring 98 mankind went off the the top and through the celling of the hell in the cell, and that was wwe.
Second on may 23 1999 at WWF Over the Edge the sport of wrestling lost one of the most underrated superstars in wrestling Owen Hart, to a fu**ing stunt, so don't tell me the WWE don't have stunts.

finaly for those who don't know ECW is not just the coolest, it's not just the best, it's justin credible.

joeyest, you DO need to do some research, especially if ONS2 was the only ECW show you've ever seen. btw, aside from RVD finally winning the title, ONS1>>>>>ONS2. The only other match that even compares to real ECW on the ONS2 card was Sabu vs Rey, even with the draw finish. Watch One Night Stand 05, Heatwave 98, Barely Legal, Anarchy Rulz 99, or Guilty As Charged 01 to see some REAL ECW. Now I didn't read this entire thread, but apparently along the way, someone said ECW was all stuntment with no real wrestlers? well I guess

Plus Vince Mcmahon is not much of a genius, he just has money to back him up which fools moronic fans (which, sadly, is the current demographic that attends WWE shows and PPV's nowadays) like the thread starter into believing he's the brains behind it all. The bulk of WWF/E' success had nothing to do with Vince' ideas except Hulkamania in small part, aside from that all Vince has really done for the business is make decisions and sign paychecks.
