I have tried to watch this show like 3 times...

and I seriously can't make it past 10mins each time...
It's soo boring like I don't know how this can have more viewers and a higher rating than gilgamesh?
Yes perhaps I should watch more of it... but I don't know how you all stuck with it?

It's much better than Gilgamesh (I presume you're talking about the anime and not the ancient poem?)
You have to do a lot of thinking. It's not an action series. It's very much drama, mystery with a hint of horror.

I've watched the first 3 episodes but somehow I always stop there and never watch the rest. I don't know, I guess it takes some getting in to. And if mystery/drama is not your thing then I would not recommend it.
Anyway, I'm going to watch the rest of the series now as I have no other animes to watch.

yea i've tried watching it twice. the first time my computer actually had a virus so it was too much of hassle (window kept closing, screen kept on changing color). but the 2nd time when i got a new PC i couldn't even make it past the first episode, i made it like 12 minutes in. kind of surprising because very rarely do i not (at least) finish the first episode of an anime, whether i'm diggin it or not.

but i dunno there was just something about this show that seemed so dreery and unapproachable, hard to sit through stay awake at. i think i started to falter after Reil said something about the city and her world being "boring". lol. i know it was supposed to provoke me more to watch but it did the opposite..but i'm sure it's a great series once u get into it, it's just hard. well i'm gonna try again here soon, i'm commiting myself to the first 5 episodes, no matter what.

This show is really different and special. i got into it before i even saw the show, by seeing some pictures of it and reading the plot. Now i saw the half and it's miraculous.

i agree with you i tried to watch it like 3 times and getting past the first ep is hard but it gets better if you stick with it.

I don`t understand how you can quit after 10 mins ,most of the time it takes a whole episode or two for me to decide if i want to watch something or not. Well the same happened to me when i tried to watch texnolyze ,coulndt understand what the hell was going on until i reached ep 3 ,and im glad i did it.

By deliberately being unclear the writer is trying to provoke your curiosity. This works for some people, like myself, but not for others it seems. He 'drops' a lot of important clues that make little sense at first, but gradually become clearer as the story progresses. In fact, the first episode can only be fully understood if you've watched the last one. If you ever do finish the series, you may wish to watch the first few episodes again.

I found this to be one of the most interesting Japanese animations that I have seen in years, although the ending was somewhat disappointing. They never do fully explain just what a Proxy is, and why we have to preserve them. And, there is a Christian spin-off to the story that I found to be completely misplaced. Another intriguing story you might check out is Death Note.
