How to watch Ergo Proxy (first timers)

Begin at episode 12. Watch the show until end. Then you can watch episodes 1-11. This will give you the in medias res opening, which will feel intense and confusing, but it will activate your brain in a good way, and the story will unfold with better flow, and you won't risk unnecessary explanations and superfluous flashbacks. (And watch it subbed, not dubbed.) (I accidentally started at episode 12 my first time (and finished with the first eleven (as recommended (by myself))), then several years later I tested watching it from the beginning (which was considerably less awesome (which was unfortunate, as I was forcing a friend to watch with me,) so I believe I know what I'm talking about.)
