Only watched this movie for the 1st time today and I loved the scenes with Gaara but the end made no sense at all, Kankurou appears to save Shikamaru (should have been Temari instead) and then Gaara is just there on the mountainside doing and saying nothing! I think Gaara should have helped save Naruto and Temujin, Temari should have saved Shikamaru and Kankurou save Sakura, yes it would have been a total cheese fest but better than the no explanation we got...

I was dissapointed at that too.
I saw Gaara in it at the start, and I thought it would be really interesting to see more of the not so homicidal Gaara XD
But he definetly should have had some sort of reaction when he could plainly see that Naruto was in trouble, even just a small internal 'Naruto...', ya know? And they should have exchanged words a little more throughout the film, or a small smile or just something damnit XP They just like ignored eachother.
I reckon they just tossed Gaara in to make the movie more popular, 'cause he has so many fans.
To be honest, that's what I think of both of the movies. Take out Naruto and co, and you've got an average, not-too-good-not-too-bad movie, but to be honest, with Naruto and co, it doesn't really make much sense.
