THEY TOTALLY RIPPED OFF EQUILIBRIUM!!!!!!!! !

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok

Now that I got that out.

Hoe k

I think the director should AT LEAST give special thanks to Kurt Wimmer in the credits for ALL those GunKata scenes that he DIRECTLY stole. Oh my God. This anime plagiarizes like a mother foiker. Excuse moi language.

Anyone else agree???

reply

So the exact likeness of Tres is in this Equilibrium as well? And he just cut the exact scene out of it and used it in Trinity Blood?
-Sarcasm-
Oh please. There's a lot of things SIMILAR in animes. And if he stole it as you say, I'd say there would've been a lawsuit about it.

reply

Yeah, except Kurt Wimmer's career pretty much went down the drain with Ultraviolet. So I don't think anyone really cares too much about him anymore. So sad. Too bad.

reply

Equilibrium wasn't exactly the first of its kind either. Everyone has ripped something from something else, that's the way things work and that's the way our brain works. All your opinions are ripped from people too.

If that 'Love God And Are 100% Proud Signature' makes you sick, make THIS your signature!

By your reasoning every martial arts movie after Bruce Lee is a complete rip-off.

The statement formerly known as my sig.

reply

No, because Bruce Lee didn't event Martial Arts.

reply

Yes, just like Equilibrium didn't event gun-kata. Kurt Wimmer just gave it name.

I wonder when you'll shut up and make my dinner! -Ash Ketchum-

reply

No, I think Kurt Wimmer did invent Gun-Kata. It wasn't just some random dual action movements. He said he invented it in his backyard.

reply

You dumb *beep* its invent not event and kurt did create gun-kata.

reply

Wow. Way to show your pettiness and stupidity by getting angry over the internet and replying to a month old post, and then try to correct someone's grammar while forgetting to capitalize a proper noun. Gun-kata was invented by John Woo in the 1980's, but he never thought of it as a true form of martial art. Kurt Wimmer just mimicked it and gave it a name.

|If you make an ass out of yourself, there will always be someone to ride you.| -Bruce Lee-

reply

Actually, John Woo's style is called Hong Kong Opera. Gun-kata uses math to dodge bullets and return fire. It's not realistic. I know. But that's the definition of Gun-kata.

reply

That is so funny, Equilibrium was a remake of Fahrenheit 451 with shades of THX 1138.

reply

Noooo, it was heavily inspired by Fahrenheit 451 and the likes, but it's not a remake.

reply

100% right. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd episode. When the robot breaks into the hideout for vampires. Pissed me off.
