It's not THAT bad...

OK, I saw the 1st Recon movie and thought.... wow, some film student has a pretty good imagination and with a budget could do a decent movie. When this came to video I had to check this out too.... needs more budget... but the premise is ok.
It is DEFINATELY not the worst film I've ever seen, but I can see the promise it might have with some money behind it. Veil really does have the ability to get his idea across, he just didn't have the resources to do it big. You can tell that the people that made the movie made it because they really wanted to, not just for a quick "B" sell.
I'd like to see what Sci-Fi would do with this premise if they got a hold of it....ya, I know they've had some real stinkers, but with some refinements to the characters and the story line.......
Anyway, I know everyone here has bashed the film, and I FULLY expect to be flamed on the boards for even suggesting that I disagree, but hey.... I've seen some REALLY bad films with NO plot, at least this one tried.

(I agree that they really need some military training if they're gonna make a military movie.... see "Starship Troopers"... this takes that kind of idea and although entertaining with LOTS of suspention of disbelief, it falls WAY short)

I give it a 5 for at LEAST an honest try...
