I thoroughly recommend watching this documentary for a series of fascinating revelations about this fact/fiction book, you will be astounded.

This documentary was just on SBS (Australia). I watched in fascination as each story and counter-story was revealed.
The woman was rumbled with each lie she told that didn't even match up with the last lie (eg when she eventually dug up a dead person that could match her original lie but had to chnage her story (originally a virgin in Amman in 1996, eventually revealed as a pregnant girl in another city in 2001 but then the book's pre-published date was BEFORE the death of that girl).
When she took the interviewers to Jordan to 'prove' things the director must have wanted to give her the biggest slap in the face.

Years ago, to my cost, I had the misfortune to be in business with a con artist and pathological liar, so when I saw this excellent Doco on SBS what riveted me was the same pattern of behaviour I had witnessed, unfolding to a level of similarity that was awesome. Always an explanation for the explanation and the shear anger that was reserved for the one who had the temerity to distrust her in the first place and then was evil enough to expose her, the honest truth seeking journalist Malcom.
Great piece of work Anna, you totally nailed her.
