just a question

This might be a dumb question, but I'm just curious, and I've heard reports of weird sutff, and it seems that something like this could happen. Anyway, in many, many horror movies, the plot revolves around a group of people getting trapped someplace where a supernatural creature or ghost is killing them one by one (like Haunted Prison). Has there ever been a report of, well, a supernatural gory death?

Naah, it's not a dumb question.

To my knowledge, there has never really been a report of a gruesome supernatural death. (Unless you count "The Amityville Horror", but that was proven to be a hoax).

The closest thing to a death as a result of a haunting was that of John Bell, the father in the infamous Bell Witch story. The movie that came out recently on DVD, An American Haunting, is based on this story.

The movie is somewhat disappointing, as it only shows one aspect of the legend, but it's a pretty good start to check out the legend.

It was me! I was the turkey all along!

Don't forget "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" based on the true story of Anneliese Michel from Bavaria, Germany. Born: September 21, 1952, Died: July 1, 1976. Also, see "the Exorcist", which is based on a 1949 exorcism Blatty heard about while he was a student in the class of 1950 at Georgetown University, a Jesuit and Catholic school. The exorcism was partially performed in both Mount Rainier, Maryland [1] and Bel-Nor, Missouri. Several area newspapers reported on a speech a priest gave to an amateur parapsychology society,in which he claimed to have exorcised a demon from a thirteen-year-old boy named Robbie, and that the ordeal lasted a little more than six weeks, ending on April 19, 1949.
