Sure it was stupid, but indeed it was hilarious.

Exactly! It was ridiculous, yes, but also ridiculously funny!

It took years before I would watch this movie basically because I hate sports themed movies, but this was hilarious.

Definitely a lot better than the later Scary Movies/Date Movie/Epic Movie and about equal to Not Another Teen Movie

Agree: loved it and LMAO! Enjoyed Grandma's Boy too, though not a spoof movie technically.

This movie is kind of like 'Not Another Teen Movie' in the sense that it actually manages to spoof something right. I honestly think people hate this movie solely because it's spoof and most of them suck (and it's en vogue to hate spoof movies, too). But this movie is surprisingly hilarious.

They even got Bill Buckner in there to reenact his famous blunder... come on, how awesome is that?

Thank you OP and others agreeing! I'm right there with you! I'm not into sports, but this movie is hilarious! We quote it all the time in my house!
