Why couldn't this be done in live-action?
I saw the trailer and I was wondering why it coudn't be done in live-action.
Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.
Do you ask the same question for all live-action movies? Why coun't they be done in animation?
It could, but the director chose this approach, perhaps because she felt it better corresponds to the grotesque, absurd, philosophical images of Keret's books.
And I agree with this vision - the movie was great.

I would have to see the film to make a proper judgement, but based on the trailer, I don't really like the way they did the animation. I feel like it may have been better in live action, I guess because it distracts me from the message or meaning of the film when there's claymation like they used.
