There's never one embarrasing moment with Jeff.

In all of these sitcoms there usually comes a scene when the main characters are embarrassed or look foolish in front of others or get caught in some misunderstanding. Frasier was notorious for this, he was always caught in front of others in some compromising position or there was always a misunderstanding that left Frasier embarrassed or looking the fool. It happens a lot with Audrey. I usually tend to get to that point where it becomes uncomfortable with her more than anyone else. An example would be when she ran into that mom and little girl in the lobby and ends up tearing her doll. Then every time she gets it fixed she tears it again.....leaving the mom aghast and the little girl sad.

With Jeff that never happens. He literally doesn't care, he's got a witty comeback for every situation and he is super blunt. He always just tells it like it is and tells you the truth and what's on his mind. If something embarrassing happens he doesn't care, he just goes right on with life. His scenes never get uncomfortable because he doesn't care. He doesn't get into misunderstandings because he just tells you I'm not going to come, I'm not going to do that, it ain't gonna happen.

He is hilarious. Kramer from Seinfeld was a lot like this. He just was who he was, take him or leave him and he didn't get embarrassed about anything.

I do recall a few scenes with Jeff:

(I) When he was trying to somehow, and awkwardly, put a good twist on Liz, and said she's an animal in bed 
(II) Liz came down to the apartment and was telling Audrey about her sex life. Jeff left the room as soon as she came in and was in the kitchen eaves dropping
(III) Finally when he was trying to have sex with Audrey in the Central Park behind some bushes in the middle of the night and the cop caught him 

That park scene was a good example. Instead of being terrified, humiliated by being caught by the cop. Instead of being desperate to not get a ticket or be arrested he just squints and says something like "Can we get five more minutes?".

Actually EVERYTHING was an embarrassment with Jeff. He was the biggest self centered boob on the tube for a while. Why Audrey would stay married to someone who never gave a damn about his wife 99 percent of the time is a mystery.

In real life Jeff would be a bachelor for life as no woman would put up with his self centered life.

I would suggest that Jeff wouldn't be a bachelor but would be on his 6th wife by now. It really doesn't matter how awful a man's personality is there will always be some daft sacrificial woman who thinks she can change him. She won't and they will get divorced. Rapists, murderers, thieves, bullies, psychopaths all the worst of the worst always find someone. It may not last long or end well but there is always a beginning.

Jeff might be a boob but he is still a breathing hunk of beef and that will do for some women. Just the same way that some evil gold digger will never be alone whilst they should be shunned, some lonely idiot Man will always fall for it. Several times usually.

But he does care deeply about her, least deep down. Sometimes takes a while to come out, but it does at times. When he just went off and signed the lease for the cookie store is an example. How he got stupid singing at the wedding where the little kid with the camera was blackmailing Audrey is another.

He's good looking, witty and charming in his own way. Plus -- even if it sounds shallow -- he makes a good living (remember how shocked Adam and Jenifer when they opened Jeff's bank statement by mistake). Jeff might not be for everyone, but he is for a large enough subset of women.

A FEW things do not make up for the complete lack of respect he has for Audrey. He just wants to get out of everything and watch sports or hang with his buddies and act as though her entire job is to leave him alone except when he wants sex.

In real life she would have left him long ago. And that is how the show should have ended. With her finding a good husband and him living with girls who leave every 6 months due to his idiocy.

Jeff's hot. I love men like him. He's a brat but he's genuine.

You sound like you are reading way too much into it and are, quite frankly, making situations up that aren't there cause of your personal issues with Jeff's character.

YES! I love that bit when he's at Audrey's high school reunion and he stuffs an entire pastry(?) in his mouth and then walks away like a boss.

He did get embarrassed when he sent the text message to Audrey instead of his coworker in that flirting episode, and definitely the episode where he got a boner from Jen rubbing his shoulders! I Agree for the most part tho, he's rarely ever the butt of the joke, and if he is, he takes it like a champ.
