Four Points

1. Love Don Cheadle (as an actor). He doesn't even need to say anything - just his eyes tell the whole story.

2. This movie stank. Cheadle's Miles was a one-note Johnny - flashing back on the good old days while drinking & drugging.

3. Miles Davis was not exactly the superstar to white college guys in the late 70's that this film would have you believe. Know him on sight? Maaaaaybe. Be awed by him? Probably not. Have his records in your dorm? No. Those guys would more likely be into rock (or, if open-minded) punk/early new wave) and/or use disco or cheesy pop to get girls into bed.

4. Speaking of which, the girl in bed looked more like a guy with long hair than a female. Maybe the filmmakers were trying to make some sort of point?

Edited #2 to make it clearer (not a criticism of Miles D., a criticism of the character in the movie. Thought it would be clear as we're on IMDB, discussing the movie but...)
