I disagree with the review about how it should have been an audio cd etc

I liked the movie aspect.

I live in the UK and I grew up with Nirvana and I've read and seen a million biographies of the band and of Kurt. The best of all was "Come as You Are", but I had to visualise it all. It may be easier for some of you, but for me, when they talk about a logging town I could only picture it. When they talk about bohemian Olympia with a close knit community etc.. I could only picture it. Basically, I just felt that this film visualised everything for me. I got to see the actual Aberdeen and I got to see Olympia and Seattle and I got to see all the young types of people that are in the Nirvana story. Dyed hair and beards and scruffy clothes and cold damp suburbs and small towns, it is all so important to understand all that because it helps put some perspective into the story.

So no, this film shouldn't have been an audio CD. Maybe it would have been ok for some of you, but not for the entire world. I really appreciated seeing all this stuff. I have seen a lot of it before, but it just helps and it's more enjoyable to have it all presented for me while I'm listening to the talking. I think they did a great job too with the things they showed.

I also think that because it's quite slow paced and it's all just kurt talking, it's important to let your mind wander a bit and think about what he is talking about. I think if you were driving or doing something, that might not happen. When you are sat watching the movie and the pictures are there to get your mind going, and yet they are often quite static, it just lets you absorb what he is saying and it lets you think about it, and the pictures only help trigger that even better.

I thought it was great, and it was nice to hear the content that made the Michael Azzerad biography first hand from Kurt Cobain. Great stuff. Very sad though.
