SciFi needs to make amends for this movie...

The first step is to admit that you have a problem. And SciFi channel's problem is that they aren't even TRYING to make good movies. Even setting aside the fact that SciFi may not have actually MADE this film, they DID decide to air it. Somebody somewhere sitting in an office at SciFi's headquarters orbiting high above earth's atmosphere had to have actually greenlighted this script, and most definitely somebody sat down and watched it and decided to stamp it with SciFi's Imprimatur of Quality and decided to air this trainwreck of a film.

In all seriousness, SciFi Channel should be forced to issue a public apology for allowing Savage Planet to go on the air. How is it possible for a network to choose to CANCEL Farscape, but give the go ahead for this piece of cinematic excreta?!? Somebody needs to start a petition demanding an On-Air apology from Those Who Are Responsible.

the same way the choose NOT to do any programming from 8 am - 4 pm EST mon - fri - it would PAYING someone to do some work and make a decision - I think airing this movie is alot better than airing WRESTLING on tuesady night - if they are going to start running "regular" programming they should change the name of the network - do you remember the night they ran 4 episodes of the Law and Order franchise? - it was even in the tv guide and on the tv guide channel - no "technical difficulties" forcing them "to run anything available" - scifi is a franchise of NBC along with USA, Bravo, and a couple of others I'm sure - they don't need to apologize for this movie - they need to apologize for not spending any money on programming in general and for going WAY OFF GENRE with Law and Order (once I know of) and Wrestling (weekly)

Boot off the Wrestling and bring back Farscape and MST3K!

come on, this movie wasn't quite as bad as Sasquatch. And it wasn't nearly as bad as route 666 (the worst movie ever made). And this movie had, SPACE BEARS!!! SPACE BEARS!!!

And they should leave wrestling to ESPN, unless its like alien wrestling or some *beep* like that.

ESPN doesn't carry fake wrestling on any of their channels. USA and SciFi are the bastard aquistions of NBC. Yes, this movie was horrible, as are most on SciFi; I very rarely watch the crapolla they air.
USA has some very entertaining orginal programming (Monk, Burn Notice, Psych) but continue to air ad nauseum reruns of the worst primetime (CBS) series I have ever viewed - "Walker, Texas Ranger". And I would guess half of the airtime is garbage infomercials and horrible commercial after commercial (Nutrisystem, Geico, and more..the worst, of course, is "J.G. Wentworth".
It is truly sad that we have to pay for cable that includes this mediocrity.
They should pay us. By the way, I have Buckeye Cable System in N.W. Ohio (a monopoly) who also owns the only local daily ragsheet. I only wish that cable channel operators would realize that Buckeye Cable cuts off midway through more than 50% of channel commercials, and runs local crappy commercials at twice the sound level, most for their own enterprises. How irritating.

Now I like space and I like Bears....Heck, I even like space bears but this was a shameful waste of time, effort and airwaves that should have every mother in the US wagging a finger in disgust at Bonnie Hammer the pres of SciFi channel. This little dookie nugget of a film shows why SciFi has lost touch with its core audience.
