Great Choice of Leading Lady...Not Exactly a Hottie

I knew what the movie was about, but wasn't sure who the woman would be. Then I see this somewhat "frumpy" chick who is a tad overweight and I thought; no, it can't be. But it was, and I'm glad. She looks like a real person, and the rest of the movie I noticed she's quite pretty, and has gorgeous piecring eyes. That said, she is not the babealicious dish they suually cast in these movies. It added texture and a real quality to this film.

Very well stated.

You know you've seen Fight Club enough times when you've seen it ONCE, ALL the way through!

I totally agree. She looked like a real person -- attractive, yes, but normal, not all Hollywood. And it just made the movie that much better, that much more easy to relate to and identify with. It made it real.

Wake up people
She was fat, just like the rest of USA population.
In that regard the movie was realistic.
Maybe what the director was going for.

I'm a part of the US population and I am not fat. That is unless having six pack abs constitutes as fat. I have single handidly discredited your statement that she is fat "just like the rest of the USA population"...idiot.

By the way, my mother = not fat. My father = not fat. My two brothers = not only not fat but just as muscular as me. My entire inner circle of friends = not fat. Actually look around America outside of Wisconsin and you'll see we aren't all obese. Statements to the contrary are just extremely ignorant and bothersome.

(By the way I was just joking Wisconsin - I love you guys)

She looks like a real Army wife, as opposed to the "Army Wives" on Lifetime.

IT'S ABOUT MONEY, DICK!!!
