100 things I learned from The Messenger

1) You are allowed to speed through red lights when you belong to the army, to be on time to let next of kin know their son died.
2) People will hit you and spit at you when you bring them the news of their son's death because they think you personally killed him.
3) Punching a hole in the wall is the perfect remedy to relieve some frustration.
4) Dressed as soldier, you don't even have to inform people of their son's death. They will get the point and start to puke at the sight of you.
5) Soldiers can't touch or hug people while informing them of their loss. It's extremely dangerous. They could explode.

I kept count, was given 9 free passes from police for minor traffic violations once they saw the military ID. I'm sure many other military get the same courtesy from cops.
