I forget the SS officer/soldier's name but he was the young book keeper at Auschwitz who was embezzling the gold and cash from the incoming prisoners and appears throughout the six episodes.

The energy of the two when talking about their crimes, which they have no remorse for and feel totally justified in having committed, their facial expressions, and their excuses/justifications are so similar.

It is like a whole section of these men have been sliced away, their humanity.
