It's all about the money -- he bought her 'love'

Linda despised him deeply. She said she wanted him to rot in prison and die. She tried to lead a normal life, she wanted to work and have relationships with men. She struggled real hard, but her blindness and disfigurement always got in the way. She eventually accepted his financial support because she had no choice and felt he owed it to her. Then at one point she was like "f@ck it, if I won't marry him, some other bitch will, so I better marry that money". Behind the closed doors she was probably needy and talked to him harshly. And he gladly provided her with comfort and services. He just loved the idea of finally having her to himself only, and she loved his money.
