His plan worked

Remember when he talked about (in the early phases of his stalking) that he wanted to scare her so she would run back to him....that he would have someone beat her up so that she would come backto him. I thought that was pretty demented but it turns out that his strategy worked. He attacked her and it put her in the vulnerable and seemingly helpless situatuation he originally intended as a tool to drive her to him. Their story is definitely not one of love. His plan worked....to make himself the only one that would love her. What an extreme case of an abuser and his lifelong victim.
