Awful. Just downright awful.

Yeah, this movie is awful.

People who like this are ones who are watching a piece of cinematic work for the first time. Otherwise, you just can't appreciate that. It's bad. It's awful.

Jack Bauer, I mean, Kiefer Sutherland, acts like he's making another episode of 24. Nobody told him that he's supposed to be a failed father witnessing paranormal things and should try to look depressive and scared. But no, he POINTS HIS FREAKING GUN - in a classic Bauer-ish style - at mirrors that are acting funny. He even utters his "DO IT NOW!" catchphrase. I missed hear Chloe on his intercom.

He and his wife? No chemistry. He and his kids? No chemistry. He and his sister? No chemistry. He's not an ordinary citizen. He's an ice-cold mirror-shooting machine. And he shouts in anger whenever he needs to partake on human interaction, because that's not really his thing.

But I might even turn a blind eye to the main character's inconsistencies and take a look on what the rest of the movie has to offer. And all I see is a cookie-cutter 90's horror movie.

A family with a failing marriage and/or a troublesome member? Check.
Desperate mother over scared little kids? Check.
Some horrible death happened before the events depicted in the movie? Check.
Paranormal events that only one character can see and everyone else refuse to believe? Check.
The unexplained events start benign but slowly become worse during the movie? Check.
Main characters fails miserably when trying to prove such events are real? Check.
Research over old newspapers or documents that might give some clue? Check.
An old and recluse person who can tell something about this mystery? Check.
An action climax with the main character fighting to survive? Check.
Peace is suddenly restored near the end of the movie, but something still not quite right? Check.

There you have it. Follow these guidelines and you might make an horror movie with an "impressive" score of 6/10 on IMDB! Guaranteed!
