Question about the end. (Spoilers).
I read that someone on this board suggested that the scene where Jason shoots the gun in the air was only a dream.
But if it wasn't, how did he not go to jail for doing that? I would think that shooting a gun (that you don't have a license for either) in the middle of a huge crowd outside of a football stadium would land you in all kinds of trouble. Yet, as we see in the scene that follows, there Jason is on a bus, happily leaving Nebraska like nothing happened.
I dunno, I didn't like how they just glossed over what happened next, after the gun incident. It felt unrealistic and unbelievable to me.
It didn't really ruin the film, I still like it, but it did take it down a notch.
Or are the gun laws in Nebraska so flexed that it's okay for people to do something like that with no consequences to follow?
