I mean seriously! I wanted to *beep* strangle the bitch! Who cares if she "supposedly" ended up in a freak house? She deserved to die just as much as Mitch did. The dinner scene and when she catches Mel after she runs away from the police station got me SO pissed. No one in that family liked her anyway. So I think it would have been a blessing for her to be killed. Does anyone else agree?

jlevinthall, I also support your motion for the premise of the sequel! From the moment she uttered her first line, I wanted her dead... if for no other reason than because her horrendously awful acting dragged the movie down a few notches. With all of the movie's nods to older horror flicks, I find it hard to believe the writers didn't realize the audience would want her to be the first victim of the crazed killer... at the very least, it should have been her that got kidnapped and tortured -- audiences would have cheered!

I know it wasn't necessary to the plot but when they found out she wasn't on drugs what was the mother going to do? "Ooops I'm sorry" just wouldn't make me feel better of my parents. After that point she had no right to question the girl EVER.

I understand her daughter has a history, but questioning her and accusing her with no proof (especially when your other daughter verifies that she isn't taking drugs) is no way to get her to stay clean. Damn, she practically drives US into taking drugs. With a mom like that, who wouldn't?

I agree. She was a complete bitch! I bet after the police took Melanie and Krystal to the hospital for their wounds from their traumatic ordeal, they forbid the mom from going.
As a matter of fact, if I can recall, the girls we saw at the end said that Melanie and Crystal moved out of town with their parents and their mother went insane. They possibly had to put her in a mental instutition. Serves that bitch right! SHE WAS the one that acted CRAZY, not Melanie. And the father had seemed like he was under her thumb. I guess 3 years after that, he doesn't really have to deal with her stupid ass anymore.

The mom was seriously psychotic! Omg I was hoping she'd be killed! The ending was pretty shocking to me though. Anyway I absolutely hated the mom. I hope melanie's dad divorced her ass!
