among the best new horror films I have seen!

What amazes me is that Prom Night took in 22 mill and is really not good, in fact it's downright lame. Fingerprints is more original, scary, interesting, fun, and yet it did not get a chance to play theaters. Why? Because it's not a remake. That's all these studios want and they are right in a sick, twisted sorta way because people are familiar with the product and are, therefore, more likely to go see it.

But for my money, RENT FINGERPRINTS!

I agree this film was pretty good especially if you like ghost/slasher movies. I bought the film from Wal Mart and don't regret it at all.

I bought a copy on Amazon.com. I tried to rent it at Blockbuster but the one or two copies they had have been checked out. Of course, they have almost a thousand copies of Enchanted!

This was a HORRIBLE film, no other way to describe it.

I'm mad that i spent 5 bucks to rent it. I can't imagine anybody actually BUYING it.

reply

was a horrible movie... i can overlook bad acting if there is an interesting story or some nice gore but this movie had nothing going for it... it didn't make any sense... i got it from netflix so it works out to like $1.50 per rental for me and i still feel cheated... i can't believe anyone liked this crap... then again i can't believe anyone would go pay to see these horrible remakes like prom night (haven't seen the new one but i can imagine how badly it sucks)...crappy movies keep coming out because idiots keep going to see them in theatres and buying them when they come out on dvd so for everyone that buys crap like this and goes to see pg13 remake crap in theatre... thank you very much for trying to ruin horror... its all your faults

H-Movie-Fan,
you are dead on about it being bland, boring, and poorly acted, also about the mother and Kristen being god aweful.

You left 1 thing out though, the horrendous script.

Your right, it is a total snoozefest. I couldn't even finish it, it was THAT bad.

reply

Unlike Halloween, April Fool's Day, Prom Night, Shutter, and ever other horror movie of 2007/8, this is an ORIGINAL script!

Very enjoyable film, check it out!!!

reply

It's obvious that the people who have some personal grudge against Kristin are the ones who don't like the movie.

If you want a bad movie check out the new April Fools Day or Prom Night, they are much wore then Fingerprints.

Possible Spoilers:

I would say this movie wasn't all that bad...I had no idea who that Kristen chick was until I looked up the movie on this site...I don't think she did that bad...the only really bad actor was the ***** of a mother(horrible)! I think it had a pretty good story line..although it didn't make too much sence..kept me interested. The main thing that bothered me was the killer...I pinpointed her from the fist scene she was in..and why was she going around killing certain people? She had lived there forever and just decided one day she wanted to dress up and start killing random people that nothing to do with anything? THAT was stupid...not to mention shes like 70 and able to take a young healthy 18 year old guy out and have the strength to lift a good 110lbs straight up by the hair...please.

Funny, as I watched this movie, I felt like it should be on Lifetime TV or something. It just seemed kind of cheesey. The story was good, but the editing wasn't. I agree with you Slasher_Guy, watchable, but nothing special.

reply

I have to say that though this movie began interestingly enough, with the children in the school bus, it somehow never got off the ground and I can give it only 3 marks out of 10.

reply

Also people shouldn't be commenting about movies THEY DIDN'T EVEN WATCH.

reply

Hey, I watched the first 30 minutes and it was all I could take. I honestly cannot remember EVER renting a movie and not even being able to finish it, but Fingerprints was THAT aweful.

Also, I have nothing against Kristen. If her acting would have been decent in the movie, I wouldn't have wrote anything negative. But come on! Her acting was HORRIBLE. Especially that first scene in the car with her and the main girl, oh my god it was bad.

Speaking of House of Wax, I saw that movie, the whole movie. It's not a good movie and I'm not a Paris Hilton fan, but I thought her acting was decent in it. It was at least believable, unlike Kristen's.

I rented this movie and thought it was pretty good. I remember hearing a story about haunted train tracks where I grew up and am not a big fan of "urban legend" movies cause they are usually dumb and boring, but this one held my interest until the end.

The little girl was freaky!

I just finished watching this film and I enjoyed it. It really reminded me of the old school slasher films from the 80's. The killer has a great costume too bad this didn't focus enough in the SLASHER area.

reply

I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a lame ghost story, but it was pretty entertaining despite some really bad acting. It reminded me a bit of Urban Legends: Bloody Mary, which I also found entertaining.

i totally agree.this movie was WAY better than i expected.the parents
were downright
pathetic.the hair cutting scene was well,strange..dont ya need the root of the hair?? O,n,y exactly did the man hurt the kids,in what fashion n those skeletons in depot basement looked2large2have been children.maybe i'll
just watch it again2find out.all in all,i was entertained til the end when the story continues with the "new blood" teenagers.lol
good film

reply

Yeah. Surprisingly, this film is pretty decent for a new, modern horror film. A lot of them have been mediocre to crappy to where some like this ones are legit.

reply

I'm watching this on the Chiller channel, well, my wife was watching it and I just sat down. This movie looks more like something that comes on the Lifetime network, not that that is a bad thing
