Rated R for some sexual references

What are they? I am always confused by ratings like this.

As the director of this film, I can truly say it is ridiculous that we got an "R" rating.

They are for the 4 following words:
2 uses of vibrator
1 use of doggy-style
1 use of jacking off

While out of context they may sound bad, there is absolutely no reason that this film is rated "R" aside from the fact it was an independent film.

Best Wishes,
Jason

It is well known that the MPAA has major problems with sex in general, but absolutely no problems with violence.

It is also well known that the MPAA wrongly rates many films. There are countless PG-13 films that should have received R ratings and R rated films that should have received PG-13 ratings.

Congrats and good luck with this film.

It seems like movies that are rated R for "some sexual content/humor/references" always end up being PG-13.

I've seen movies that said vibrators and doggy-style and still had a Pg-13 rating, what gives? The MPAA are way out of touch with rating. The only film that I saw that thought it really deserved its R-rating was Scarface with Pacino. Other than that, I've been realsing that a lot of movies have been rated R for no particular reason except maybe its some stupid Hollywod trend.

I was the shyest human ever invented, but I had a lion inside me that wouldn't shut up.

"2 uses of vibrator"
"1 use of doggy-style"
"1 use of jacking off"

This really answers my question as to why this film received an "R" rating.

These are spoken words, and not actions.

From the trailer, it looks like a charming film that I would want to see, but not if it truly has "R" rated content. It sounds like it does not.
