As an Italian, I don't think you can say all of us are "something"!
Moreover, this is that kind of movie about italy that is NOT made by italians (I have seen another horrible movie called "Italian lessons" that is almost repulsive in his ideas...)
We Italian are living hard times. Prices in our country doubled in a few years and oil price is destroying our economy. Our political class has been inept for 40 years and lately we've been leaded by smugglers and thieves.
All we have is our great history and art, our great food and land and, finally, the urge of doing something to save all our crumbling culture (without having a clue on HOW TO).
...of course we have horrid stuff as the Vatican and Mafia...

Yeah, the food is still our best asset. But there's something to do in between meals. Finding a good job, avoiding road rage...
