Don't know if it was known at that time but the virus is not transmitted via saliva. Also the bottle was just opened and we did not see Ron put it to his mouth until she handed it back to him. Additionally I doubt Ron would offer the beer to her had he sipped on it. (He had previously refused oral service from a stripper/dancer demonstrating some responsibility with regard to his illness.)
