Hey -
I was just joking using Donnie Darko lingo in my earlier post but I do appreciate the link. Just finished listening to it.
Krasinski is a very intelligent guy and I hope he directs again without Matt Damon. (can't stand Matt Damon for many reasons - none political)
I thought the movie would have been better had Krasinski 'shown' the actions Wallace's hideous men speak of through their interviews. Krasinski filmed his interpretation to mimic how dry it is reading one of David Foster Wallace's essay novels. While Wallace came off as incredibly pretentious, as a writer, I don't see that through Krasinski's work...yet, I could be wrong.
As a writer, one thing I've learned: SHOW and don't TELL. His movie was 90% all telling.
